Outside the Office
Kelly is married to her college sweetheart, Billy, and together they live in Mandeville with their three teenage sons and their dog, Huck. She affectionately refers to her lively household as her own personal frat house, a reflection of her sense of humor and the energy that defines both her home life and her approach to her work.

Partner
Kelly Brian brings a diverse professional background and a thoughtful, practical approach to her legal practice at Smith Sconzert. Before entering the legal field, Kelly developed strong skills in leadership and relationship-building while working as a development officer for the Tulane Athletics Fund and later as an assistant athletic director for the McNeese Athletic Foundation at McNeese State University.
With more than fifteen years of legal experience, Kelly focuses her practice on health care law, medical malpractice defense and professional liability matters. Throughout her career, she has represented hundreds of health care professionals, including physicians, nurses, dentists, physical therapists and hospitals.
Kelly takes pride in guiding health care providers through some of the most challenging moments of their professional lives. Whether defending complex litigation or representing clients before licensing and regulatory boards, she is committed to providing strategic, practical and compassionate counsel, as well as strong advocacy. Her approach is grounded in a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and a genuine respect for the professionals who serve it.
Outside of her legal practice, Kelly is deeply committed to serving her community. She served for over a decade on the Board of Directors of the Youth Service Bureau, including as former Board Chairman. She is a graduate of the 2018 Leadership St. Tammany program and credits the program with reviving her connection to her Northshore ties and reinvigorating her desire to see her community thrive. To that end, she now devotes much of her free time to volunteer efforts at her sons’ schools, serving as the Booster Club president for both the football and baseball booster clubs at Fontainebleau High School, and constantly seeking new ways to improve the lives and futures of its students.
